NEW FOR 2022/23: GOLF ACADEMY BASED AT PROCISION OXFORD & SPRINGS GC
The Springs Golf course in association with Newbury College and Procision Oxford Academy have combined to provide a full-time course for young golfers who can demonstrate significant talent.
We are excited about the Springs Golf and Education College and to welcome the first intake for 2022/23. This fantastic two-year program is offered to 16+ year olds with substantial raw talent or whose skills show the potential to become a professional golfer or work within the sector of Golf and Sport.
The player is at the centre of the Springs Golf College to allow them to develop their performance whilst continuing their education post 16.

Our career-based curriculum is led by employers and designed to give you the best opportunities to gain the qualifications and skills you need to have a fulfilling and successful career. The college’s aim is to become a centre of excellence both on and off site for learning and development within the Sports and Fitness sector.
In 2019 we partnered with Procision Oxford to create our first off site programme for football players and athletes. This has now developed to three full time off site academies in Abingdon, Milton Keynes and Newbury.
We are excited about the brand new golf academy that will enable keen golfers develop on and off the course with our proven methods as well as the expertise of the fantastic Springs Golf Club.
WHAT WILL YOU STUDY
Modules will include: Anatomy and Physiology of Golf, Fitness Training and Programming for Golfers, Golf Coaching for Performance, Sports Psychology, Nutrition + 14 other related units
THE SPRINGS GOLF CLUB
PERFORMANCE PROGRAMME
The Springs Resort & Golf Club is laid over 133 acres of beautiful parkland, that runs alongside the River Thames. The par 72 golf course was originally designed by former Ryder Cup captain Brian Huggett, and first opened in 1998. The course was purchased by Darwin Escapes in 2017 and the following year began a significant investment plan, starting with the golf course. Leading course architect Tim Lobb was called in and he worked in consultation with Huggett, primarily on the bunkers and lakes, improving their placement, appearance, and aesthetic appeal.
The Springs Golf Club is a modern golf club, friendly and relaxed… exactly how it should be. We also have fantastic practice facilities for you to perfect your game; a practice range, short game area and practice putting green.
INDOOR FACILITIES:
SWING STUDIOS: As part of our development, we created three indoor studios for golfers to help improve their game. With two indoor swing studios featuring GC Quad and a putting studio we really have everything you need to work on your golf, whatever the weather.
Each studio can be separated for individual use, or opened up for group sessions. As well as coaching and custom fitting, GC Quad software enables golfers to play some of the very best courses in the world from our studios, in real-time conditions. GCQuad delivers real-time ball and club data, with accuracy and reliability. This data analysis and visualisation features delivers critical information and analysis when fitting and coaching. GCQuad data includes: Club head speed, smash factor & angle of attack Club path Ball speed Horizontal & vertical launch angles Carry Distance
OUTDOOR FACILITIES
The golf practice range is the perfect accompaniment to the indoor swing studios, giving you the chance to see real time ball flight and zone in your yardages before heading out onto the course.
Want to work on your short game too? There is a fantastic short game area to work on your chipping and bunker shots, as well as a practice putting green to really hone in the scoring shots.
